Autumn Lisp Game Jam 2024: Day 9
Well, I’m pretty happy with the second-to-last day of the jam! Got some essential things done, like implementing A* pathfinding for enemies and adding ranged attacks for the player. Also, I completed a bunch of key UI elements — like the victory screen, help window, and even a level-up stat selection menu 💪 On top of that, I fixed a pile of small bugs and even drawn a logo! (Okay, just kidding — ChatGPT actually drew it for me).
The only major thing left to add is mana usage for scrolls, since right now there’s no real magic besides them. I’ll probably end up dropping magical weapons like staffs and wands from the game. So tomorrow, I can focus on balancing everything I’ve made, and if I’m up early, I might try adding some sound effects for spooky atmosphere 👻
